Sister Annie Lucille Napier was born on February 10, 1936, to the late Mark and Lucinda Napier. She departed this life Saturday, March 7, 2026, after an extended illness.
Annie Lucille, better known as “Nan” was a very devoted, dedicated, and committed member of Westside Church of Christ of Leighton, Alabama. She enjoyed doing the work of the Lord. Nan was very conscientious in trying to please God.
Nan was quiet, had a contagious smile and a beautiful voice, and always wanted to participate in activities at Westside. Annie Lucille worked at Shoals Hospital for more than thirty years. During her years at Shoals Hospital, she tried to be a beacon of kindness and respect to everyone she came in contact with. She believed in doing the best job possible in all situations. Annie Lucille enjoyed meeting, greeting, and feeding people with her delicious meals.
Annie Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Ella Marie Napier, Hannah Lee Stevenson, Della Mae Crutch, Evelyn Napier, and Pearl Johnson; and three brothers, L. C. Napier, James Henry Napier, and Percy Albert Napier.
Annie Lucille’s loving memories will be cherished by her son, Anthony (Mary) Napier of Tuscumbia, Alabama; one bonus son, Oswald “Ozzie” Mullins of Decatur, Alabama; one granddaughter, McKenzie Pride of Farmers Branch, Texas; one sister, Teresa Napier of Leighton, Alabama; two devoted nieces, Regina (Larry) Bonner of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and Letonja (Craig - deceased) Napier of Piedmont, Alabama; devoted nephew, Chris (Michelle - deceased) Napier of Leighton, Alabama; two devoted great-nephews, Cameron (Brittany) Bonner of Northport, Alabama, and C. J. (Jada,- friend, Camari - daughter) Napier of Leighton, Alabama and Ester Pride (caregiver) of Tuscumbia, Alabama; spoiled fur baby, Lucy; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
