Freeman was born October 1, 1925 to the late Theordore and Blanche Nash in Franklin County, Alabama. She departed this life April 18, 2010 at 4:18 a.m. at Russellville Hospital after a brief illness. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church, where she was an active, faithful and dedicated member until her demise. Ardelia is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Ellis; a son, Walter; a grandson; daughter-in-law; five sisters and four brothers. She leaves to cherish her memories, six sons: Jack Leon, Larry, Renford (Donna), Rev. William (Deborah), Bishop Lonnie (Pamela)), all of Russellville, Alabama; Dennis Freeman of Sheffield, Alabama; an adopted son: Samuel Kimbrough of Birmingham, Alabama; four daughters: Bessie (Joe) Smith of Dayton, Ohio; Vera (Charles) Martin, Thelma (George) Hubbard, all of Russellville, Alabama; Priscilla (Charles) Graham of Sheffield, Alabama; one daughter-in-law: Geraldine Freeman of Russellville, Alabama; twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren; two great great grand children; two sisters-in-law: Geadie (Charlie) Suggs of Landersville, Alabama; Hattie Freeman of Russellville, Alabama; one brother-in-law: Thomas Pickett of Landersville, Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and other very special friends.
