Mr. Booker T. Butler was born on October 30, 1940, to the late Mr. Sam Butler and the late Mrs. Mary V. Butler of Rogersville, AL.
He departed this life on December 25, 2024, at his residence.
Booker T. graduated from East End High School in Rogersville, AL. After graduating, he began working at Joe Wheeler State Park as a cook in the lodge area, where he remained until his retirement. Upon retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his longtime friends, Billy Mangrum and the late Bobby Mangrum. Booker T. accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized. He joined Mount Olive Cumberland Presbyterian Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Scruggs.
Preceding Booker T. in death, in addition to his parents, were his sisters: Annie E. Griffin (Samuel), Gloria Shoulders (James), and Mary Nell Butler; brothers: Charles Jarrett, Felix Butler (Ara), Dell Butler, Fredrick Butler, Roosevelt Butler and Eccker Butler; and sisters-in-law: Patricia Butler, Martha Ann Butler, and Sarah Butler.
He leaves to cherish his memories: brothers, MacArthur Butler and Lionel Butler, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
