Christine Virginia Noel was born in Oxford, Mississippi, to the late Tom Charlie and Lena Armstrong Lewis on October 21, 1949.
Christine, often called “Chris,” enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She was often asked to sew dresses for weddings and proms. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially making Christmas decorations, wreaths, and ornaments. Most of all, she enjoyed her four-legged friend, Bubba.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Lewis; sisters, Vera Mae McEwen and Birdie May Lewis; and brothers, Tommie Lee Lewis and Roy Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Roosevelt Noel; children, Kevin Howell (Ishia), Deketra Noel, and stepson, Derrick Smith; grandkids, Kenri Howell and Bralen Howell; step-grandkids, Derrick, Dewayne, Jahna, Jonavin, Jacari Smith, Omarion Hines, and Tylan Smith; brother, Henry Pride; goddaughter, Vanessa Vaughn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
