Elijah Earl “June” Armstead Jr. was born September 30, 1966, in Sheffield, Alabama to Elijah Earl Armstead Sr. and Annie Pearl Goodloe Armstead.
He departed this life on January 19, 2025, at NAMC.
As he was affectionately known, June would light up a room upon his entrance. His personality could make the saddest person laugh or smile. June had a special love for his family. He often paid pop-up visits to all, and there was never a dull moment in his company.
June accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and was baptized at an early age. He was educated in the Colbert County School system. His hobbies included working on various types of vehicles, and he self-proclaimed to be a shade-tree mechanic.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Charlene Younger. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter; Latasha Johnson, brothers; Dennis Armstead (Sharon), Robert Steve Armstead (Shamara Payne), and Xavier Armstead, sister; Shekira Armstead (Rod Lewis), very special friend; Thelma Long, uncles; Kent Goodloe (Roberta), Barry Goodloe (Brenda), aunt; Julia Armstead, nephews; Antonio Thackston, Dante Armstead, Xavier Armstead Jr., Damian Armstead, nieces; Vivian Blanton, Demetria Horton, Melissa Young, Denesha Armstead, Savannah Armstead, special niece; Ariana Lewis, and a host of other relatives, and friends.
