Eva "Muh" Lou Thompson Williams was born January 22, 1931 to Emma McCullough and Edson Hobbs In Lauderdale County. She was the Eldest of 11 children.
She was educated in the Lauderdale county School System. She worked up in private homes for many years until she retired in 1997.
She confessed her life to Christ at an early age at Eleven Grove Missionary Baptist Church and later joined Mt Zion seventh day adventist Church, where she served faithfully until her health declined. She loved her church family and spending her summers at “camp meeting” at Oakwood College in Huntsville, AL. She was a christian, loving woman, who was known to all as “Muh”. She loved her flowers and took pride in making sure her yard looked good.
She and Her daughter Emma were always traveling from state to state for various Church conferences. Emma cared for her until her health declined; yet she continued to sit with her day to day until she departed this life. Her last years were spent in the home of her daughter Jessie and her Husband Willie, where they surrounded her with love and care until her death, with the help of family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edward Williams, Sr, her son, Grady M. Williams, Her mother, Emma Thompson and step-father, Major Thompson, and father Edson Hobbs. Four brothers, Jimmy Thompson, Oscar Thompson, Ike Thompson, Early Thompson. Two Sisters, Pearlene Carroll and Odessa Morgan.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four, loving devoted daughters: Jessie (Willie) Clopton, Emma Bolden, Alice (Percy)Jones, and Lena Williams. Three devoted sons: Henry T. Williams, Joe Williams, and John Williams.Thirteen grandchildren: Sherita Williams, Tredgerick Williams, Eric(Beth) Williams, Jason (Evodnee)Kirkman, Denise (Tamarri) Williams-Webster, Tia Darby, Michael Jones, Uniqua Williams, Jamorris Jones, Zagreus Beckwith, Talia Williams, Kendria Williams, and Jenardis (Monica)Burroughs; Three Sisters: Cora Major(Sheffield) Vallie (Rev. William) King, Opha Thompson (Florence) One sister in law Odell Thompson; One Brother: Rev Willie Thompson, 17 Great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, 2 loving cousins Andre & Anthony Hobbs, Special friends Dr & Mrs Melton Ambrose, Steve and Mary Edna Corrigan, nieces nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
