Felicia Juliet Freeman

Felicia Juliet Goodloe Freeman, the daughter of Lafrazia Russell and the late Mr. Edward Goodloe, Sr.  was born on June 9, 1967, in Colbert County Alabama.  She transitioned from her earthly home on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. 

Felicia gave her life to Christ at an early age, was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Ghost.  She was a faithful member of Healing Fountain until her health would not allow her to attend.  She truly loved the Lord, and her ministry was encouraging and caring for others - often putting the needs of others above her own. 

Felicia was mother to her one and only son, Brandon, (the absolute love of her life) and her niece Martina, who was like a daughter.  She loved more than anything spending time and making memories with Brandon, her daughter-in-love, Ciara and her grandchildren.  Felicia also loved karaoke singing, reading, writing poetry, taking pictures and making arts and crafts.

Felicia attended Cherokee High School and the University of North Alabama, graduating cum laude with a BSN in Nursing.  Even though she had health challenges all of her life, her passion was being a caretaker.  She had such a beautiful and kind spirit and a heart that was filled with love for everyone.  To know Felicia was to love her,  and she will be so deeply missed by all that knew her.

In addition to her father, Felicia was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Goodloe, Jr.; her grandparents, Robert and Julia McCray, and Millie Goodloe; and one special cousin, Joel Ricks. 

Felicia leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-love, Brandon and Ciara Freeman; her loving mother - LaFrazia Russell; stepfather - Robert Russell; her devoted brother - Stephen (Teena) Goodloe; Grandchildren - Brayden, Julius, and Talitha Freeman; Nieces - Martina (Bradley) Ricks, Brianna Goodloe, Brittney Williams, MaLyric Scott, Harmony Scott and Marley Ricks;  Nephew - Edward Goodloe;   Aunts - Wanda Lewis, Marsha (Leon) Ricks and Mary Goodloe; Uncles - Victor (Edna) McCray, Ellis Lovelace, Albert Goodloe and Robert (Frances) Goodloe.  First cousins - Larry Lewis, Chandra Lovelace, Quincy Lovelace, Marcus Goodloe, Jermaine Goodloe, Mark Goodloe, Candace McCray, Dr. Robert Daryl McCray, Tara Jackson, Shannon Sharp, Angela Pierce, Ben Ricks, and many other cousins, extended family and friends.
