Funeral service for Mrs. Thompson will be:1:00pm ~ SaturdayFirst Missionary Baptist ChurchSheffield, AlabamaRev. Rufus Slack, officiatingBurial in Zion No. 1 Cemetery, Barton, AlabamaThe body will be placed in the church at 12:00 Noon.Visitation with the family will be Friday, 6-8:00pm.On Oct. 2, 1926, Lutitia B. Thompson was born in Ragland, Ala., to the late Ms. Bluebell Crook and Mr. Henry Brown.She joined Mount Zion Baptist Church, Ragland, Ala., at an early age and later moved to Sheffield in 1959 and joined First Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a lifelong and dedicated Christian.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambus Thompson, and daughter, Shirley Ann Brown.She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Jesse (Lee) Brown, Willie (Carolyn) Brown, both of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; one daughter, Betty C. Howard, Tuscumbia, Ala.; two stepchildren, Lucinda Atwood, Dallas, Texas, and Ed Thompson, Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, Alonza Looney, Dallas, Ga., Taylor (Queen) Crook, Chicago, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, Alabama, Directing
