Ms. Mable Carnell Rowlett Simpson, Jackson was a native of Iron City, TN. Born one of ten children to the late Mr. John Chester Rowlett and Mrs. Dora Bell Allen Rowlett on May 24, 1924. She accepted Christ as her lord and savior at an early age and joined Morton Chapel C.M.E. Church in Iron City, TN.Ms. Jackson was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Clayborn Simpson of Waterloo, AL. To this union one son was born, Mr. Johnny C. Simpson. She became a member of Stevens Chapel C.M.E. Church Waterloo, ALWhen her son joined the US Army she relocated to Florence, AL where she met and married the late Lafayette Jackson. She became a faithful member of Tennessee Valley Community Church until her death on January 26, 2009. She exchanged the life of this world for eternal rest at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home, Florence, AL.She leaves to cherish her memories one son Mr. Johnny C. Simpson, Daughter-in-law Sarah Simpson of Florence, Al. Two grandchildren Rhonda Simpson, and William Roger Thompson, both of Florence, Al. Seven great-grandchildren Marsellis, Ashley, Joshua, Dewight, Tiera, Rasheed and Ladarious. Five nieces Margret Perkins (Fred), Vivian "Cookie" Poole (Jim), Dora Johnson, Doris Summerhill and Alma Woods. Four nephews John C. Rivers (Sarah) Earnest Rowlett, Clark Rowlett (Annie) and David Rowlett (Stella). One brother-in-law Mr. Robert Jackson. A host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.The family would like to thank the staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home for the acts of compassion and professional care proved to our loved one.
