Malinda White Obituary

MALINDA JANE WINCHESTER was born in Frankling County, Alabama, on November 10, 1952, to the late Jane and David Winchester.

As a child she would look through and read the hard-back encyclopedias and became an excellent speller, because there was no such thing as Google at that time. Later Malinda graduated from Russellville High School and attended North West Shoals Community College in Phil Campbell, Alabama.

On July 29, 1978, she married Tyrus White, and that marriage lasted for the remaining 47 years of her life. Through their marriage they had one son, Michael.

Doing her early adulthood, and all through the rest of her life, she was a caregiver, opening her home to five different family members so they would have a good and safe place to live. She continued to provide health care for her uncle, her sister, Minneva, and her mother up until their death, sometimes at the expense of quitting her job at Kellwood to care for them. Malinda continued her calling by becoming a CNA and worked for Burns Nursing Home and Russellville Health Care, and was compassionate about the care her patients
received. Not only did she love her family, but she also loved the Lord.

As a member of the Choir, she was always working on and introducing new songs that would lift up and edify the name of the Lord. She was a powerful prayer warrior who prayed over the sick, laid hands on them, and anointed them with oil, and they did recover! Even when her health declined, her faith in God did not, and up until her last minutes of earthly life she called on the name o  the Lord. She fought the good fight, she finished the course. She kelp the faith and now she can receive the Crown of Righteousness which the Lord shall give.

Malinda was preceded in death by her parents, David and Jame Winchester, and one sister, Minneva Winchester.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Tyrus;son, Michael (Lula) White; one grandson, (her baby) Gabriel; Sy; one niece, Janey Winchester, all of Russellville, Alabama; one sister in-law, Ida Elliott; brother-in-law, Lawson (Judith) Hubbard; brother-in-law, James (Callie) Clay; a special and faithful friend, Mrs. Bobbie R. Wilson; and a host of cousins and friends.
