Marie Antoinette Woods was the daughter of Raymond and Annie Pearl Smith Bulls. Marie was born on August 17, 1939, in Lauderdale County.
She departed this life at her residence in Killen, Alabama, on the 6th day of March, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Maurice Woods; parents, Raymond Bulls and Annie Pearl Bulls. Siblings who preceded her in death were Ann, Carol, Doris, Carol, Jerry, and Edith. Marie and Tommy married 68 years ago, celebrating sweet memories each year.
She leaves fond memories of her husband, Tommy D. Woods; daughters, Remelle Woods, Yoshina Giles (Ronald), and Stephanie Chiabi (Gerald); sons, Norris Woods (Lei Lani) and Terry Woods; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law; and a host of other friends and family members.
Marie was a person of few words who preferred to lead by example.
She was a loyal, hardworking woman of faith who loved her family immensely as God’s ideal model of a loving wife, caring mother, and Christ-centered servant.
She shared her love most generously through the meals she prepared and the table she always made room for. An excellent cook, she had a special gift for turning simple ingredients into delicious meals that brought people together. Family, friends, and even first-time visitors were welcomed with warmth, laughter, and a full plate. If you were fortunate enough to be invited to her table even once, you likely found yourself hoping for another invitation. In her home, no one remained a guest for long—she had a way of making everyone feel like family! Marie’s legacy of grace, class, and strength will live on forever through those who loved her
