Mrs. Martha Jane Robinson was born on December 4, 1941, in Cloverdale, Alabama to the late Mr. Wilbert C. Anderson Sr. and Mrs. Willie S. Proby Anderson.
She departed this life at her home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
She graduated from West End High School in 1960. Martha was employed at the Circuit Court Clerk’s office for 31 years in Florence, Alabama until she retired on May 27, 2005.
She was an active member in the mixed choir at First Missionary Baptist Church, Sheffield, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her father Mr. Wilbert C. Anderson Sr., mother, Mrs. Willie S. Proby Anderson, brother Andrew Anderson, brother Edith S. Anderson, sister Ellis P. Smith, son Antonia Cowley, and nephew Bobby B. Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband of 57 years Mr. Curtis E. Robinson; one brother Mr. Wilbert C. Anderson Jr. of Florence, AL, five sisters Ms. Hettie S. Fisher, of Broadview Il, Mrs. Leila Stanback (Billy Don) of Bellwood, IL, Mrs. Connie Johnson (Mark) of Tomball, Texas, Ms. Linda Pearl Calloway of Florence, AL, Ms. Anna Z. Boddie of College Park, GA. One grandson Mr. Courtney Cowley of Decatur, AL, 2 granddaughters Ms. Kayla Mayes of Harvest AL, and Ms. LaTonia Cowley of Decatur, AL, and 3 great-grandchildren all of Harvest, AL. Nieces Blevise Sankey (Barry) of Fort Worth, TX, Glenda Edwards of Broadview, IL, Debra Edwards of Broadview, IL. Great nieces Belinda Johnson of Bellwood, IL, Cherie Johnson of Tomball, TX. A devoted and loving great niece Mrs. LaTunya Ashford (Curtis) from Tuscumbia, AL: and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends whose lives have been greatly impacted.
