Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday at High Street Church of Christ, Tuscumbia, Ala. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia, Ala. .Michael O'Neal Mullins was born in Tuscumbia, Ala., to the late Wiley Jr. and Hattie Mullins on Sept. 10, 1950. He was the eldest of four children.Michael graduated from Trenholm High School in May 1968, the last graduating class at Trenholm High School. He attended and graduated from Alabama State University in Montgomery, Ala., in 1972. Upon graduating from State, he moved to Detroit, Mich., where he lived until his death. While in Detroit, Michael worked for General Motors, Ford Motors and taught for 32 1/2 years in the Highland Park Public School System. He also graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich., where he received his master's degree in education.Michael is survived by his siblings, Col. (Ret.) Oswald Mullins, of Decatur, Ala., Mary (Anthony) Napier, of Tuscumbia, Ala., and Wiley Mullins III, of Easton, Conn.; loving and dedicated aunt, Ollie Mae McBride, of Detroit, Mich.; uncles, William (Geraldine) Brown, of Leighton, Ala., and Percy Marshall, of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; niece, McKenzie Pride; special cousins, Nancy Darby and Elizabeth Mullins, of Tuscumbia, Ala.; special friends, Sis. Jeanie Mason, of Indianapolis, Ind., Betty Bolden, of Detroit, Mich., Harold Sledge, of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Mrs. Jean Graves, of Tuscumbia, Ala.; and many family members and friends.
