Mr. Oscar Lee Roach of Florence, AL, was born on August 17, 1952. He departed life on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. and Sallie Mae Roach; and his sister Mrs. Mattie (Felix) Bell Summerhill.
He attended Brooks High School and Allen Thorton Technical School, where he started working on cars. He was a faithful member of Abundant Life Church where he served as an associate minister and Sunday School teacher. He was a ranger at Camp Westmoreland Boy Scouts of America for about 12 years. He loved cutting grass on the camp, he said he always had the best talks with God out there. He loved playing softball, working on cars, watching Gunsmoke and wrestling. He loved spending time with his girls and his grandson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 54 years: Emma Roach; two sons: Roderick (Tanesha) Roach, Roland (Rose) Roach; one daughter: Tracy (Keith) Rhodes; his grandchildren; great grandchildren; three brothers: Robert (Carline) Roach, Clarence (Doris) Roach, Fred (Linda) Roach; one sister: Lois Roach; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews,
and friends who loved him dearly.
