Mr. Norman Lee Allen, born to the late Samuel Earl Allen and Pearline Allen on March 27, 1954, passed away at his home on September 12, 2024.
Norman graduated from Brooks High School, where he played football as a running back. He attended the University of North Alabama, and Tennessee State quickly signed him toa scholarship, and there appeared to be no limit to his future in football. Norman was a retired member of the work force of Martin Industries, and he went on to become a successful, self-made entrepreneur. He enjoyed doing lawncare, going to yard sales and collecting antiques. He spent a lot of time watching and listening to sports, mostly football.
He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Earl Allen; mother, Pearline Allen; and brothers, Ronald and Rudy Allen.
Those left to cherish his memories are: two daughters, Taletha Wooden and Kayla Sanders; one son, Cornelius Sanders; a sister, Linda Faye Allen; a brother, Charles Newsome; six grandchildren ,Ke’Ambria Summerhill, Maleah Summerhill, Keyondre Summerhill, Cornelius Sanders, Jr., Kendra Sanders, and Tyler Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Kyree Fuqua, Kierian Long, and Gianna Crittenden; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
