William Issac Darby

WILLIAM "Bill" ISSAC DARBY, a beloved son, brother, dad, granddad, great-granddad, and husband passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Helen Keller Hospital surrounded by family.

Bill was born the 7th child to Nancy Mae and Robert Lee Darby of Tuscumbia, AL.

He graduated from Deshler High School in 1979 and afterwards he enlisted in the United States Army where he did a tour of duty. Bill definitely was the life of the party. He didn't take life too seriously and made sure everyone was in good spirits in his presence. Bill was preceded in death by "our" dad Robert Lee Darby ; brother, David DeWayne Darby; sister, Mattie Denise Darby; and nephew: Rico Orlando Winston.

He is survived by his wife: Lynn;" our" mom: Nancy Mae Darby; his daughter: Quinyanna Ricks; and his son: Randall Ricks; two granddaughters: Aukieveyana Simpson and Omari Thomas; and
three grandsons: AuDream Thomas, Christopher Aiden Kylee Ricks , and Randall lan Maxwell Ricks; one beautiful great granddaughter: Mulani Reynolds; seven siblings: Daniel McCray (Donna) of Bellview, IL; Robert Franklin of Russellville, AL; Robert DeNorris (Sandra) of Chattanooga, TN; James Darrell of Bellview, IL; Barbara (Ricardo) Winston of Tuscumbia, AL; Debbrah Darby of Tuscumbia, AL ; and Reginald Dwight (Debra) of Columbia, SC; and two great  aunts: Lois Darby of Muscle Shoals, AL and Hattie Parks of Crete, NE.
