Willie Jeanette Hillman

Willie Jeanette Hillman was born on June 28, 1932, to the late Eddie Ora Gholston and Claude Barfield in Franklin County, AL.

She peacefully departed this earthly life on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at her residence.

She was a faithful member of Antioch CME Church where she served on the Stewardess Board, Missionary Society, Senior Choir, and as a pianist for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sid Hillman; daughter, Barbara Diane Hillman; parents, Eddie Ora Gholston and Claude Barfield; brothers, Garfield, Russell, David, and Frank Ester; and sisters, Annie Lee, Mary, Texana, Gladys, and Eloise. She taught at Reedtown High School and Russellville school system and later retired to be a helper with Project Help.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Robert Hillman, Jr. (Mary); grandchildren, Roderick Hillman, Evodnee Abernathy, Anquinette Abernathy, Jah Williams, and Sir Williams; great-grandchildren, Kambreya Abernathy, Kymani Williams, Nykole Hillman, and Khylie Abernathy; and a host of other family and friends, including her special niece, Vanessa Saxton.
