Glenn Smiley, officiatingInterment in Shoals Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia, ALThe body will be placed in the church at 10:00am.Mr. Willie Lee Johnson was born March 15, 1963 to Willie and Bobbie Jean Johnson in Colbert County, AL.He began his home going journey Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Willie confessed a belief in Christ at an early age. He joined Mt. Zion AME Church(Hawkins Creek), and stayed faithful until God called him home. He served on the Steward Board and was a member of the Male Chorus.Willie was retired from the Muscle Shoals Utilities Board-Water Department. He worked diligently for 28 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a chain lineman for the Muscle Shoals High School football team.Willie leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Willie and Bobbie Jean Johnson; four children, Latoya Johnson, Shakethia Johnson, Willie Diante Johnson and Skametrius Southward, three brothers, Robert Charles Johnson(Carolyn), Charlie Johnson(Gail), and Bill Leon Johnson(Jennifer); two sisters, Marilyn Fitzgerald and Linda Metcalf; grandmother, Vera Woodruff; former wife, Elaine Johnson, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
